Prior to EdWeek, she was a political and higher education reporter for The Sacramento Bee and The Fresno Bee in California. She holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in political science from the University of Missouri and a masters in journalism from the University of California, Berkeley. She was born and raised in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
